Gareth Bate presents "Penance Performance" at the The Arts For Social And Environmental Justice Symposium.

 

The Royal Conservatory, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

May 15, 2010

Curator: Catherine Mellinger.

Join researchers, academics, educators, artists, health care professionals, social activists, scientists, community and business leaders and many others from across Canada in this exciting symposium focused on the arts as vehicles to advance social and environmental change. Explore perspectives, share experiences and gain new insights into the potential role of the arts in constructively generating social and environmental knowledge, and positively influencing norms, expectations and progressive social change.

Highlights include research presentations, experiential sessions, interactive workshops, poster demostrations, narrative presentations, round table discussions, performances and much, much more.

Hosted by: The Royal Conservatory of Music and the Laurier Centre for Music in partnership with ISIS-Canada and The European Graduate School.

Keynote Speakers: Dr. Stephen K. Levine, Danika Billie Littlechild, Dr. Rena Upitis, Max Wyman.
